1) Build the New Timelog Tablet (Terminal)

1.1 Preparation

  • Charge the tablet for 30+ mins.
  • Collect kit from IT stock room (Unit 3, J28):
    • Tablet
    • Mount
    • Tilt adapter (⚠️ only required for wall‑mount setups)

1.2 Power on & access setup menu

  • Turn on the new tablet.
  • Tap anywhere on the screen 7 times to unlock the setup menu.

Notes:
If you have turned on the device and its already provisioned then the device will need wiping in intune in order to set up the device for the customer:

> Go to Intune Admin CenterDevicesAll devices.
> Search by the tablet serial number.
> If found, open the record → click WipeConfirm.
⚠️ This removes all company data/apps/settings.

> Wait for Wipe pending / Wipe successful before starting §5.1.

1.3 Initial setup & enrollment

  1. Go to the Setting Up TimeLog - Tablet QR Codes for Existing Customers folder to find and open the customers enrolment QR code.
  2. Choose the language.
  3. When prompted, scan the QR code from Managed Services.
⚠️ Ensure you’re using the correct company QR.

1.4 Connect to network

  • Connect to Guest WiFi:
    SSID: Guest WiFi
    Password: Bolo1234

1.5 Enrollment & configuration (automatic)

  • Device will download apps/policies (can take up to ~20 minutes depending on network).
  • Agree to prompts/terms as required.
  • Proceed through each screen with Next until complete.

1.6 Restart & finalize

  • Select the country when prompted.
  • Tap Restart.

1.7. Update settings to Force Landscape for Apps

  • Click the settings cog in the managed home screen.
  • Click Exit Kiosk.
If the 'Exit Kiosk' option is not available the  Click the back button 15+ times then the option will appear.
  • Enter pin 3539 and click Continue.
  • Go to Settings > Advanced features > Labs > Landscape view for portrait apps to force apps that are normally vertical into landscape mode.
    • Force Landscape for Managed Home Screen and Timelog.
    • Then on the tablet home page rotate the device until you see the Auto-rotate button pop up in one of the corners to change the screen to landscape.
    • Once rotated click the Managed Home Screen app.
    • Click the Timelog App

2) Build and cable the Bouncepad mount

Assemble the correct Bouncepad for the job (wall + tilt adaptor, counter, or floorstanding — as specified on the order).

  • Build per the manufacturer instructions supplied in the box.
  • Cable before final fixing: run power through the mount so nothing is trapped or pinched.
  • Asset tags: tablet tag on the bottom of the tablet; Timelog Terminal tag on the bottom of the mount (identifies the whole terminal).

3) Adding the Timelog terminal as an asset in Continuum

Before you start

You will work in two places:

  • Equinoxx (company) Continuum — where you create the real hardware record, link it to the customer’s master agreement, and attach the tablet and mount.
  • The customer’s Continuum — where you register the same terminal for that customer’s environment.

Keep the Tag ID from the QR label on the mount handy; it is used as the serial number and for tagging.

3.1. Create the Timelog unit (Equinoxx Continuum)

  • Go to Assets.

Path: Business function → EAM: Enterprise Asset Management → Tools & equipment, then open the Tools & equipment area.

  • Expand Tools & equipment type until you reach ICT equipment → Timelog units.
  • Open model count (or equivalent control) so you can see all Timelog terminal models.

3.2. Pick the model that matches the mount + tablet

Use the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 with the mount you have. Match the mount to one of these unit types (names may vary slightly in the system—pick the closest match):

Code

When to use

TLU-001 — Wall mounted

Table/kiosk style: mount DSK-W4-TA9P-MX (“Original Desk” for Tab A9 Plus 11”).

TLU-002 — Counter Flex

CF-W4-TA9P-MX (“Original Counter Flex” for Tab A9 Plus 11”).

TLU-003 — Wing

WG-W4-TA9P-ST (“Wing” for Tab A9 Plus 11”).

TLU-004 — Customer-owned terminal

Rare: company buys the terminal but the customer owns the device.

TLU-005 — Misc case

Any other mount with the same A9 tablet that is not covered above.

Shortcut: If you already know the terminal model name, use the search at the top of the page and choose the product under the right category in the results.

3.3. Add the stock asset

  • Scroll to Assets (stock) and choose Add.
  • Fill in at least:
    • Serial number: the Tag ID from the QR label on the bottom of the mount. If there is no label, fit a QR label and use that ID.
    • Site location: choose the option for a misc location and enter text such as GVG - Warehouse (company plus where it lives, e.g. warehouse).
  • Save (Create).

3.4. Link the physical tag

  • On the new asset’s detail page, find Tags.
  • Use Allocate existing tag and search for the same Tag ID, or create a tag if needed.

4) Tie the unit to the customer’s master service agreement (Equinoxx)

4.1. Allocate the asset to the agreement task

  • On the Timelog unit asset, use Allocate to task (top of the page).
  • Enter the task ID for that customer’s Master Service Agreement, run Lookup, confirm the task, then Allocate.

4.2. If you do not know the task ID

  • Search for Agreement and open the customer’s Master Service Agreement.
  • The task ID is the number at the end of the task URL when you view that agreement as a task (same pattern as your example links to Tasks/Details/{id}).

5) Move tablet and mount under the Timelog unit (Equinoxx)

Do this twice: once for the tablet asset, once for the mount asset.

5.1. Open each asset

  • Search by serial number, or use the QR control in the search bar to scan or type the tag and jump to the asset.

5.2. Move it “into” the Timelog unit

  • Use Move.
  • Either enter the destination Tag ID for the Timelog unit, or use Location and search/select the Timelog unit asset.
  • Confirm with OK.

6) Register the terminal in the customer’s Continuum

6.1. Find the product

  • In the customer’s Continuum instance, search for timelog.
  • Under Products, select TIMELOG-01: Timelog terminal (or the current equivalent if renamed).

6.2. Add the customer-side asset

  • Scroll down to Assets (Stock), click Add.
  • Serial number: the same Tag ID you used for the Timelog unit in Equinoxx.
  • Site location: misc-style location with a clear description of where the unit sits (e.g. Warehouse or the real site name).
  • Save (Create).
